About this course

In this section

Effective leadership skills are critical for success in an increasingly demanding industry such as construction. Through a series of lectures, seminars and practical simulations, this short course aims to provide an in-depth understanding of theoretical concepts associated with leadership and how these transform into real-time application that will enable participants to develop their own leadership skills and competencies required to deliver and succeed in the construction sector.

This short course is designed to allow participants to master the twin tracks of managing both a construction project and leading a business organisation. Senior construction personnel must perform well as leaders and managers – yet rarely are appropriate theories, skills and techniques of modern leadership and management, included in their early professional education and training.

This short course is designed for construction professionals who wish to gain an understanding of key leadership tools and skills in order to develop their own personal leadership capabilities to deliver project and company objectives within the industry.
