Introduction to the role of the Course Director
This Course Director is a pivotal role in the leadership and management of the university's courses and is a valued position.
This half-day online workshop will help you prepare for the position of Course Director.
Because of this workshop you will be able to:
- Explain the role of the Course Director
- Analyse the responsibilities associated with the role
- Reflect upon the opportunities inherent in the role
- Create a plan to seek further information and support
The workshop is introduced by the VC and is informed by newly appointed and longstanding course directors.
There is opportunity for discussion and reflection and the workshop provides an overview of the typical duties to be managed by a course director.
The session is intended for those who are new to the role. Following the session it is important that you have the support of an experienced colleague to help contextualise the information obtained in the workshop.
