Top 3 most significant steps on my career path so far

    1. Understanding the power of voluntary experience in a sports capacity. A year of volunteering with various organisations allowed me to gain the skills, qualities and experiences which assisted me gaining my first job in sport with Ulster Badminton.
    2. The breadth of experience gained in a range of areas whilst a Sports Development Officer with Ballymoney Borough Council.
    3. Completion of the MSc Sports Management at Ulster University. This opened my eyes to the power of further education and how it adds value and compliments your work.

What would your advice to students be?

Volunteer, gain experience and work hard whilst you are a student. Don't have a sense of entitlement when you graduate, you still have to work to achieve success!

Do not underestimate the power of your education.
