    If you are seeking to develop knowledge in a specialist Optometry area, Ulster University offers two postgraduate programmes.  Both programmes are offered on a part-time basis through distance learning, thus allowing you to study at a pace which suits you, your job and family life.

    PgCert Theory of Independent Prescribing for Optometrists

    Part-time

    Expand your knowledge, understanding and skills in the key areas of ocular prescribing and therapeutics. Designed in collaboration with Pharmacists and Independent Prescribing Optometrists, this programme compliments and extends our current General Optical Council approved BSc Hons Optometry course which has been producing high quality graduates for over 16 years.     PgDip/MSc Cataract and Refractive Surgery (Theory)

    Part-time

    Learn the latest complex and sophisticated methodologies in laser and other refractive corneal and lens (IOL) based surgery as well as understanding ocular and systematic co-morbidity when considering elective refractive surgery. Designed in collaboration with the Royal College of Ophthalmologists (RCOphth), this is the only UK endorsed RCOphth refractive surgery programme completed fully online. Find out more and apply »
