Winter Graduations Continue at University of Ulster

The University of Ulster’s 2013 Winter Graduation series moved to the Jordanstown campus today as students from the Jordanstown and Belfast campuses received their academic awards.

Today’s two ceremonies will see students from Access & Distributed Learning, Arts, Arts Design & the Built Environment, and Computing & Engineering receive their parchments at the morning ceremony, while students from Life & Health Science and Social Sciences will receive their parchments at the afternoon ceremony.

The morning ceremony will see the First Trust Bank Distinguished Graduate Award made to Mr Robert Charles Gavin Campbell, Director of Design Engineering and Technology Development at Bombardier Aerospace in Belfast.

In the afternoon, Senior Distinguished Research Fellowships will be awarded to Professor Michael Delichatsios and Professor Paul Maguire, while Dr Davide Marriotti will receive a Distinguished Research Fellowship. These awards will be presented by Professor Hugh McKenna, Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Research & Innovation.

Graduation continue at Jordanstown tomorrow Thursday when students from the Ulster Business School will receive their awards.
