Ulster University is delighted to collaborate with Destination Derry for a virtual event on the Eve of St Patrick’s Day with Connecting with Home. The event will connect Derry people from all over the world with their local Derry community.

We are pleased to join Destination Derry and partners Derry City and Strabane District Council, the Millennium Forum, City of Derry Airport, the North West Community Network and Taggart Homes for this virtual St. Patrick’s Day event that is reflective of the times we are living in.

What to expect

As you know, we love to connect with our global community and we’re delighted that Ulster University graduate Robert O’Dowd, Director of Growth Strategy at Notable will dial in from New York.

Our talented music students will also perform; Moya Doherty, final year student at Magee will perform a set of reels, Skidoo & Torrid Romance, while Dearbhla Scallon, a second year student studying Irish with music will sing Courting is a Pleasure.

On the day there will be memories from home, a look at developments in Derry around the City Deal and other initiatives and a chance to network in Zoom breakout rooms.
