Title of Project: The impact of multiple identity groups on peace-building in divided societies: insights from Post-Apartheid South Africa

Cathy Bollaert is originally from South Africa where she was actively involved in reconciliation initiatives amongst the youth. She also has experience working in post-conflict countries such as Sri Lanka, Angola and Northern Ireland. Most recently, Cathy was involved in developing online education for the Peace Studies Department at the University of Bradford. Here she gained her MA in African Peace and Conflict Studies as a Rotary World Peace Fellow. She also studied in Ghana where she obtained her MA in Theology. Finally, Cathy's PhD research interest lies in doing peace-building in multicultural societies where groups may or may not share the same values, priorities and ways of interpreting the world around them.
