Recruitment
The University of Ulster Register of Support Providers is committed to providing high quality, high performing Support Providers to students with disabilities. To allow us to achieve this aim we adhere to a sound Recruitment and Selection Process which is based on merit.
Recruitment
The Support Register welcomes applications from individuals wishing to be added to its existing database of Support Providers. The Support Register is not actively recruiting at the moment but will hold all applications until the next recruitment exercise.
Application for Support Provider roles
If you are interested in applying for a Support Provider role the first step is completion of an application form. The application form must demonstrate clearly how you meet the criteria for the role you are interested in as outlined in the associated job description and personnel specification. Application forms, job descriptions and personnel specifications can all be downloaded from our website. You can apply for as many Support Provider roles as you wish on the one application form. We will only accept original paper copies of the application form and will not accept emailed or faxed copies.
Shortlisting
All applications will be shortlisted for interview based on merit.
Interview and Selection
If your application is successful at the shortlisting stage you will be called to an interview and dependant on the Support Provider role/s you have applied for a short test.
What happens next?
The Support Register aims to notify candidates as soon as possible of the outcome of the interview/ test. If successful in an application the Support Register will obtain references.
Please be aware that all Support Providers are engaged on a freelance basis through the Support Register. Due to the freelance nature of the Register, we are unable to make any guarantees on the amount of support work you will provider to students. Likewise, you are under no obligation to accept any support work we may offer you.
