Studying at Ulster

Ulster is a dynamic and innovative place to study. Independent research shows that we are a modern, forward-looking, progressive and entrepreneurial university with the ability to get things done. Of our 24,000 students, two thirds study full-time, one third part-time. We have four great campuses across Northern Ireland: Belfast, Coleraine, Jordanstown (near Belfast) and Magee in Londonderry. Each offers a unique student experience centred on:

  • Great teaching - most of our academics are actively involved in both research and teaching which means the benefits of their latest research work is passed on through their teaching.
  • Lots of courses – offered by our six faculties: Art, Design and the Built Environment, Arts, Computing & Engineering, Life & Health Sciences, Social Sciences, and the Ulster Business School.
  • Careers choice – our graduates are highly employable and our graduate employment rate is well above the national average; and
  • Readiness for work – a degree from Ulster is well recognised and will give you a good start to your career.
