The Quality Management and Audit Unit is responsible for the monitoring of quality assurance and enhancement arrangements in partner institutions which have been approved to offer Ulster University award-bearing courses.  The Quality Management and Audit Unit manages the processes for Institutional Recognition, those for monitoring through Annual Course Review and the Programme Management System, and supports the work of the Collaborative Partnerships Forum.

The Academic Office is responsible for quality assurance arrangements in respect of initial approval and re-validation of such courses.  The Partnership Handbook details University policies and procedures for the approval, management and monitoring of courses.

CHERP Collaborative Partners CPD Event : Friday 1 December 2017

Staff Development for Partner Institutions

The Centre for Higher Education Research and Practice (CHERP) functions as a facilitating and enabling arm of Learning and Teaching, with its primary role to progress the implementation of aspects of the Learning and Teaching Strategy (2013/14 - 2017/18) in collaboration with other key players within the institution.

CHERP will keep colleagues informed of developments in Higher Education, nationally and internationally, creating opportunities for staff to engage with research and practice in a variety of contexts, and promoting developments across boundaries, whether within academic practice or involving collaboration with colleagues in areas of learning support.

The CHERP programme of events include both seminars and workshops on a range of learning and teaching related issues.  These events are contributed by internal staff and, occasionally, external speakers.

These events provide staff with opportunities to share examples of effective L&T practice and to benefit from each other's ideas and approaches.  Importantly, these events also provide individual members of staff with an opportunity to disseminate their practice across the institution.

*Unless indicated otherwise, all events are open to Ulster University staff and students and affiliated staff from partner institutions.
