Information Services Newsletter This article is aimed at those of you who are not familiar with the range of legal resources available online in the University. The starting point for all legal queries should be the Library home page. To search for articles on a specific legal topic, choose Electronic Resources followed by Databases. You need to choose one of the major law databases such as Westlaw or LexisNexis as they cover UK and international law journals, in addition to cases and legislation. You will find international journals under Power Search in LexisNexis and under Directory searching in Westlaw.

If you know which journal you require and have the reference details of
the article, start at the Library homepage and select Electronic
Journals from the Electronic Resources menu. Log in to
TDNet - our new e-journals management system - using your Athens
details and search for your required journal title.
If the journal content is not online for the relevant year, check our
print holdings to see if the article is in a journal on our http://library.ulster.ac.uk/soc/law/ Remember, if you need help with any of these resources, you can ask any of the Social Science Librarians. Niall Burns |
