IT Workstations in Jordanstown LRC Go ‘Greener’

Four hundred new workstations were purchased recently for the LRC at Jordanstown. Environmental impact was a key factor within the stringent procurement process. Our new systems meet rigorous specifications in terms of heat dissipated, energy consumed and noise emission levels, ensuring that users enjoy a relatively high level of comfort.

The amount of energy loss for each machine over a normal working day may appear negligible but, with 400 machines and a 4-year life cycle, the total energy saved by these new machines over this period would be equivalent to 3132 litres of home heating oil! In environmental terms, this combined saving would reduce emissions by 22,154 Kg of Carbon Dioxide.
