Troubled Images and other new information resources for the Faculty of Arts

The Library has purchased a number of information resources, which will be of particular interest to staff and students in the Faculty of Arts. The Troubled Images CD-Rom is now available in the Libraries at Coleraine and Belfast and in the LRC at Jordanstown. The CD contains over 3,000 posters and images about the Northern Ireland conflict from the collection. held at the Linen Hall Library in Belfast. The CD may be borrowed from the Issue Desks at Coleraine and Belfast and is available on the stand-alone CD machine in the LRC at Jordanstown.

The Library at Coleraine has also recently extended the collection of newspapers available on microfilm and the following titles have been added to the collection:

The Irish News, 1906-1918
The Irish Citizen, 1912-1919
The Northern Star, 1792-1796

A dedicated reader/printer to view microfilm is available in Central Library at Coleraine; please ask at the Issue Desk for access to the microfilm collection.

The Video/DVD collection held in South Buildings Library is being considerably extended and enhanced. All videos and DVDs are listed on the Library catalogue and users can consult a list of what is currently available at the Issue Desk in South Library and in the room where the collection is housed.
