Information Services Newsletter Since the introduction, four months ago, of the tagging of messages which are deemed to be SPAM and the deletion of messages with virus payloads, the UU user community has whole heartedly endorsed its deployment. The Senate and the Information and ICT Strategy Committee (IICTC) have further requested that, not only should such SPAM messages coming into the University be tagged, but that there should be a high percentage that should not reach the users' mailboxes, but quarantined and held in digest form for users to manage themselves. This phase of the project was implemented in the last week of February 2004.
