New databases for the Faculty
Subscriptions for new databases, which are now up and running, have been
taken out since the beginning of January. These include:
- IEE
This provides full text access to journals and conference proceedings
since 1994. This will complement the IEEE journals, which we already
subscribe to.
- BUILDING SERVICES (BARBOUR)
Contains many useful
documents, including the content from the renowned CIBSE endorsed National
Engineering Specification, launched in 1984 and used throughout the
building services industry.
- CIVIL AND STRUCTURAL (BARBOUR)
- BLISS
(Building Law Information Subscriber Service)
Now supplied by JUSTIS
- FOCUS
Supplies online commercial property information.

(International Construction Database)
A bibliographic database covering
the worldwide literature on all fields of building construction,
construction engineering, architecture and town planning.
- TAYLOR &
FRANCIS Online E-book Library
A collection of 40 key online Built
Environment textbooks from Taylor and Francis selected for relevance.
