Information Services Newsletter IT User Services has recently installed four new computer based (non-linear) video editing suites on the Jordanstown campus. These editing suites will give staff and their students from any campus, the capability of editing video and audio from almost any format and then outputting the finished result back to tape or compressing short clips or sequences for computer delivery (e.g. for inclusion in a PowerPoint presentation or network delivery). The editors can also be used for precision playback, to analyse video material, frame by frame, or for research work. A team of experienced video production staff are on hand for help. They can assist staff in planning video programmes, and then shoot and edit the video material for them.
