ITUS New Training Course

IT User Services is happy to announce the launch of a new training course for video-conferencing users. The course has been produced with Staff Development as a collaborative venture and appears in their current course brochure. This would be the first time that such a comprehensive course on video-conferencing has been offered by the University.

The introduction of a new technology training course of this type would enable users to make use of the facilities in a more productive way.

The course, which lasts one-day, mainly uses a ‘hands-on’ approach. By the end of the day, participants should be in a position to confidently conduct video-conferencing sessions in any of the studios.

IT User Services and Staff Development have produced a training manual to accompany the course. This will provide reference information to support users after they have completed the course. Both departments are continuing to work on the development of the course material to include information on new technologies and services, as they become available. We are also keen to tailor the course to suit the needs of individuals or departments.

We warmly welcome input from other departments on how we might improve the service or develop how it is used.
