Index to Art & Design in Ireland
Library staff at Belfast have been creating an index to their collection of press cuttings on Art and Design in Ireland since 1975. The index from 1975-1995 is manual but since 1996 an electronic version has been available. A web-based version of the index is being developed and can be viewed at:

Local History Week, 4-12 May, 2002
As part of the Historical Association’s Local History Week Libraries and Museums across Northern Ireland will be hosting events and exhibitions to promote local history. The LISC (NI) Local History Panel will be co-ordinating the publicity and will also be organising a Seminar entitled “From Reader to Writer: getting your writing published”, to be held at Holywood Library on 11th May 2002. A programme of Local History Week events and a booking form on the seminar will be published in the Spring issue of Due North, the Federation for Ulster Local Studies magazine. Information will also be available from Frank Reynolds, Central Library, Coleraine Campus (Ext. 4546; email fj.reynolds@ulster.ac.uk).

Magee Library
To assist Irish language students, a list of books written in Irish and available in Magee Library is kept at the Issue Desk. There is also a list of video and audio tapes in Irish available in the Library.

Arts Subject Guides
As well as detailed guides to subject resources, there are now a number of short introductory guides available in all the campus libraries to assist users. Please ask any of the subject team for details or for copies.
