Information Services Newsletter This project was initiated through the work done by the Business Process Change Group (BPCG) into the student experience at the University. The SRIS project will run for two to three years and the functionality of the new SRIS will include every aspect of the student experience - from enquiry through to alumni management. It will comprise significant levels of self-service (and workflow management) for student information. A major sub-element of the project will be to create a student portal where information, directly relevant to each student, will be presented. This will include the integration of student finance, managed learning environment, and library with the SRIS itself (exams, timetables etc). As the project progresses, staff experience information needs work will be carried out by the BPCG. This should lead to the enhancement of the portal framework and deliver an integrated staff view of the information areas required for the roles carried out within the University. Andrew Gregg
