Information Services Newsletter In 2002, University email addresses formally changed from using the “@ulster.ac.uk” suffix to the “@ulster.ac.uk” version. Since that time, all messages leaving the university through our mail hubs have had their addresses rewritten in the correct form and incoming messages with the original suffix are routed to the intended recipient. From 2 January 2005, messages (both incoming and outgoing) that use the ‘ulst’ suffix will no be dealt with. This is to comply with the current University communications protocol that recognises only ‘ulster’ addresses. There are cases of some users still using this original form of address, especially those who have subscribed to mailing lists. Users should check mailing list subscriptions to ensure that the correct form of address is being used and if not, to unsubscribe with their ‘@ulster.ac.uk’ address and re-subscribe with ‘@ulster.ac.uk’.
