Arts courses on the move!

The Summer vacation was a very busy period for Library staff on all campuses as we carried out five separate stock moves to support the development of new courses and the relocation of existing courses within the Faculty of Arts. A total of 2,232 items were transferred between the various campus Libraries to support the first year of teaching for the following:

• American Studies at the Belfast Campus

• Music at the Magee campus

• British and Irish Studies at the Belfast campus

• Drama at the Magee campus

• Certificate in Religious Studies at the Belfast Campus

A range of equipment is now available in Magee LRC for use by Media and Performing Arts students to support courses being delivered by the School of Media and Performing Arts. The equipment is located in the Non-Book Media Room on the ground floor of Magee LRC adjacent to the Issue Desk. A DVD/CD/Video-CD player and a television/VCR are available for use. Packs containing the remote controls and headphones for use with the equipment can be borrowed from the Issue Desk. A CD player and record deck are also available. A number of PCs can also be used for listening to music. The CDs held in the Non-Book Media room are for use by Music students only and cannot be taken out of the Library.
