DEVELOPMENTS TO LIBRARY ELECTRONIC INFORMATION SERVICES

Local Holdings Links within Search Results

Many of the Library's key bibliographical databases now include links, within the search results, to both the UU Library Catalogue and to full text electronic journal titles available at UU. These links can be used to check if titles are available locally within the Library or online from the Library's web pages. This new service is intended to help users focus on items in their search results which can be easily obtained from the Library without the need to apply for Inter-Library Loans.

Databases with links currently enabled now include:

 Web of Science
 ANTE
 ASSIA
 British Humanities Index

Links to the Library Catalogue are also available from search results in FirstSearch, though full text links are not yet enabled for this service.
