We have introduced a background process to remove applications downloaded by students. This action will reduce the workload required to maintain a stable environment and maximise the number of PCs available. The operating system remains as Windows 98, however we are devising a dual boot Windows 2000/98 service. It is piloted at Coleraine. We plan to use Windows 2000 from October 2003 after all subject specific applications have been tested for compatibility. Eric Courtney |
