Information Services Newsletter Official Launch of Helpdesk The IT User Services Helpdesk service was formally launched in October with a series of roadshows on each campus. A promotional leaflet to mark the occasion was widely distributed throughout the University. The Helpdesk provides support to staff and students on the IT services offered by our department. Support can be provided via telephone or email. Although many calls can be resolved at first contact, some types of problem may require attention by another member of our department, including perhaps an on-site visit. In this case, we will provide you with a Query number (which uniquely identifies your Query in our system) and assign the call to another member of our team. Calls are only considered closed when the user has clearly indicated that their problem is resolved. The Helpdesk is currently manned during normal working hours, although messages may left at any time using the Voicemail facility. The Helpdesk can be contacted by: Telephone:
