New ISD/IT Web Areas

In September, the new web areas of the IT divisions in Information Services went 'live'.

These areas were designed to reflect the departmental restructure that took place in May 2000. All three areas are available via the Information Services page in the Quick Index on the University's home page. The MIS and Infrastructure areas contain overviews of each division's role and highlight key projects currently underway.

The IT User Services web site is our primary channel for providing IT information to staff and students. It contains details on the services and facilities offered by our department such as: opening hours, Helpdesk service, campus Information Points, policies and guidelines, student IT laboratory and printing services and information for staff such as audio-visual support.

An extensive range of support materials has been provided online. Topics include MS Office 97, internet and email products and a full set of ECDL course notes. The Self Help area is available to all staff and students at the University but, for copyright reasons, is password protected. The current usercode for the area is: uumember and the password is: pergamon. Any future changes on password access will be given on the following page:
