Exam Papers on the Web

The Library is working with the Examinations Office and the Higher Education Digitisation Service (HEDS) to digitise copies of University examination papers and make them available on the University Web pages as Acrobat image files for viewing and printing. Initially they will only be accessible from PCs or other computers on-campus.

The papers from January 2001 have already been digitised and we expect to be able to launch the service this October or November, with users able to search for papers by either module number, title or keyword. The papers for June 2001 are also being prepared and should be available early in the new year. We hope that this new service will greatly improve the ease with which students can obtain copies of exam papers, as well as reducing the pressure on Issue Desks and Library photocopiers at critical times of the year. It is also intended to provide links from relevant papers to other module information in the WebCT managed learning environment currently being implemented by the University.
