BITS Update

The Basic IT Skills (BITS) project has now completed its first academic year of operation and the feedback to date has been extremely encouraging. The BITS team has provided training in core IT subjects to over 50 courses targeting over 1000 students.

The summer semester has also been a busy time for the BITS team. All training materials were updated to include the new single sign on system, which is now implemented in corporate labs in the university and some summer training also took place. Congratulations to Helen Dixon, our colleague at Coleraine, who had a baby girl in August.

A timetable of training for the next semester is almost full with a large demand being made from all campuses. Booking are currently being taken for semester two
