ICT Customer Services
Visitors to the University

Visitors to the University, who wish to avail of IT services, must register using our online facility (see below). Please read the following information carefully, before proceeding to register.

Before
Registering

Check that:
  • your University sponsor has agreed to support your application for IT services and has initiated the process
  • obtain key submission details from your sponsor e.g.
    • agreed visit start/end dates
    • definition of visit purpose (or conference title)
    • name of relevant University department
    • relevant campus location
    • visit reference number
  • read the instructions on the online form (below) carefully and record any relevant information before submitting your application
After
Registering
Once you have submitted your online registration:
  • carefully note the information displayed about how you use your Visitor Code (V- code) to access IT facilities on campus
Obtaining your V-Code and Password Once the sponsor has approved your registration, and if you have supplied an email address, you will be sent a Visitor Code (V-code) and password. 

If you have not supplied an email address, obtain your V code and password:

  • directly from your sponsor or
  • at the start of your visit, from the LRC Information Point on the campus

The V code and password can be used to access web and email via the University student workstations and via laptops suitably configured for wireless:  Wireless Service
