Planned Network Upgrade at Magee Campus

Last year, Information Services purchased replacement switches to upgrade and enhance the University network infrastructure.
These new switches will provide increased throughput, reliability and security to the existing network infrastructure.

This work is scheduled for Saturday 20 March 2010 and may extend into Sunday 21 March 2010. The work will start at 9.00am.
During this period, there will be no network service to areas of the campus as the various links and switches are upgraded.

Some online services on the remaining campuses may be affected during the initial activity.

Inter-campus telephony may also be disrupted. However, inter-campus telephone calls using the full DDI numbers will be usable.
 

Information Services apologises for any inconvenience this scheduled outage may cause.
