Using Video & Screencasting in Teaching & Assessment – Engaging With Digital Natives in a Twenty-First Century Learning Environment

Registration Form

Video as an instructional tool has been widely used over the last two decades in education, with research suggesting that it adds authenticity to the portrayal of theoretical material.

The National Student Forum Annual Report 2009, called for all universities and colleges to implement a systematic policy to enhance traditional teaching methods with new technologies. The use of video and screencasting is an ideal way for academics to embrace this policy by preparing lecture and tutorial material in an innovative fashion.

This technology could also be key in providing effective feedback to students in a way which appeals to them, rather than relying on the more traditional feedback methods, which in many circumstances, fail to enrich the student learning experience. nbsp;

Session Overview
