Email client access to your email

Instructions on how to configure your live@edu account via an email client (such as Outlook, Thunderbird etc) can be found here. Information Services recommend that you use an IMAP connection rather than POP. POP will download all new emails locally to your email client on the computer you are using and hence, they will no longer be accessible via the live@edu web interface. IMAP retains the emails within your server mailbox so you can still access them from a different computer.

Email client access instructions here

Mobile Phone access to your email

Instructions on how to configure your live@edu account via a range of supported smart phones (such as iPhone and Blackberry) can be found here.

Connecting to SkyDrive

Click on the link to SkyDrive displayed in the mail folders panel in Outlook Web Access. This opens a new window and redirects you to SkyDrive. Once you sign out from SkyDrive and close the window (or tab) in your browser, you should be taken back to where you were in your live@edu account.
Note:  Although you can link to SkyDrive from your live@edu account, it is not possible to go in the opposite direction.
