Use of Laptops in Wireless Zones and Open Access Centres

Windows wireless utility cannot configure the wireless connection

When attempting connection to “Student” or "Visitor", your system reports that:
"Windows wireless utility cannot configure the wireless connection"

Make sure that the wireless settings for the network card are set to use the Microsoft Windows Client. To do this:

Start > Connect to > Show All Connections > Select Wireless Network Connection > Right Click > Select Properties

The following screen will appear

Select the Wireless Networks tab and check the tick box:
          Use Windows to configure my wireless network

Try to connect to the wireless network once this change has been applied.
