Use of Laptops in
Wireless Zones and Open Access Centres
The
number and variety of laptops, the range of underpinning hardware
devices (e.g. wireless cards) along with the many different versions
/states of operating systems often presents users with configuration
difficulties. As a result, configuration procedures for laptops,
wireless cards and wireless network connections can vary between
systems.
The
following FAQ sheet relates to Windows XP systems and is offered
to users who may have configuration /connection difficulties with the
Student or Visitor wireless network.
