DHCP
Configuration
The
following procedure instructs on how to configure a PC to obtain an IP
address from a DHCP server.
Windows Vista
- Click on
Start/Control Panel
- Under
"Network and Internet" select "View network status and Tasks"
- In the
"Tasks" section select "Manage network connections"
- Double
click on the Wireless Network Connection icon
- Click on
the “Properties” button
- Highlight
the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)
- Click on
the “Properties" tab
- Click
on the "Obtain an IP address automatically" button
- Click on
the "Obtain DNS Server address automatically" button
- Click "OK"
to exit "Internet Protocol TCP/IP Properties"
- Click on
"OK" to exit "Wireless Network Connections Properties"
- Click on
"Close" to exit "Wireless Network Connections Status"
- Close the
"Network Connections Window"

XP
- Open the
Network Connections
- Click on Start/Control Panel

click on the Local Area Connection icon
- Click on
the “Properties” tab
- Highlight
