Service Description |
Information Services is responsible for over 20 IT laboratories (and over 1500 student PCs) throughout the University. Student PCs are also available within the LRCs on each campus. Windows 7 is installed as the operating system in LRCs and Teaching Rooms and Windows XP is installed in all other student laboratories. A laboratory, if closed for security reasons, can be opened by security staff on production of a valid Student ID card. A letter from the student's lecturer requesting the use of the facilities gives added assurance that access will be granted.
