Student Network
Software

Every PC connected to the student network has a standard desktop known as the Common Desktop Environment (or CDE). A core set of applications is provided, which includes:

Microsoft Office 2010 (Word,  Excel, Powerpoint, Access and Publisher)
Internet Explorer web browser
Statistical software such as SPSS

Additional applications, specific to courses provided by certain faculties (and in specified laboratories) are available directly from the Start button. The desktop has been tailored to provide the best possible environment to students. Some Windows features have been restricted to ensure service provision.
