Windows 7 is installed as the operating system on PCs in LRC areas and
Windows XP is installed on PCs in all other student laboratories. A laboratory, if closed for security reasons, can be
opened by security staff on production of a valid Student ID card. A letter
from the student's lecturer requesting the use of the facilities gives added
assurance that access will be granted.
