Postgraduate Study
The Centre in conjunction with the School of Law
is designing a new LLM in Human Rights and Equality Law
to be launched in 2002-2003, and delivered in both full-time and part-time modes.
Centre members, acting within the School of Law, also provide expert supervision for postgraduate degrees, which include the LLM, MPhil and DPhil
degrees by thesis only. Human Rights and Equality law topics currently or previously the subject of postgraduate thesises include parades and processions in Northern Ireland,
and the construction of disabled people in anti-disability discrimination
law.
Through the School of Law's involvement in the Gender, Sexuality, Family Law and Human Rights Programme, University of Ulster law graduates are eligible to apply for funded PhD opportunities in Cornell University, New York, USA and Queen's University, Ontario, Canada.
