Academic Promotions (Annual Review Process) 2012 Annual Academic Promotions Under the Annual Review process, University-wide criteria for promotion to academic posts apply. The criteria, which represent the minimum which will apply for promotion to professor, reader and senior lecturer can be found below. If you are considering your candidature for promotion, you have the opportunity to discuss the matter with, as appropriate, your Head of School or Dean who, following discussions, will provide the correct procedures, guidance notes and pro-forma should you become a definite candidate. The criteria should be read in conjunction with the relevant procedures. Staff shall receive separate notification of the schedule applying to the submission of applications each year.
