Magee Sports Centre and Pavilion offer quality services and facilities to students, staff and the local community and provide great value for money and easy access for student clubs or groups of friends wishing to take part in sport.

On the main campus you will find a multi-purpose sports hall which caters for a host of student centredactivities that include:

  • indoor soccer
  • basketball
  • volleyball
  • badminton
  • netball
  • trampolining
  • gymnastics
  • archery
  • and a comprehensive range of exercise and fitness classes; available on a daily basis at lunchtimes and early evenings.

We also provide spacious changing and showering facilities.

Our Fitness Suite contains all the Technogym cardio-vascular and resistance equipment to suit all needs, including treadmills, cross trainers, rowing and strength and conditioning machines.

For those feeling stressed or suffering from muscle fatigue we offer Acupressure and Sports Massage at very competitive prices.

A state of the art third generation outdoor artificial floodlit grass (3G) soccer and hockey pitch is located at Duncreggan student village and can be booked as an 11, 7 or 5 a side pitch.

Soccer, hockey hurling and gaelic football are just some of the sports that can be played on the sand based grass pitch.

Also situated in the heart of the student village and next to the outdoor playing fields complex is the Duncreggan Studio which offers a wide range of exercise and fitness classes including boxer-circuits, yoga, pilates, abs attack, bums and tums and indoor cycling.

Magee is ideally placed if you are interested in outdoor activities with sailing at Fahan, rowing and canoeing on the River Foyle and walking and climbing in nearby Donegal.
