The momentous growth of the Belfast City campus heralds an exciting new era for the University.
Under our development plans, we are proposing to invest a total of £250m in our two Greater Belfast campuses. This will include the construction of a landmark building adjacent to our existing Belfast campus. This landmark building can be seen in a number of artist impressions of the proposed building and two animated flythoughs.
A landmark building of this size requires careful planning and we appointed Ryder Architecture to conduct a space planning exercise for teaching, learning, research and innovation to ensure that all views and requirements are considered as the plans for the Greater Belfast development progress.
Site
Plan
The site plan for the Belfast campus has been developed. The plan shows the sites we will develop:
- The footprint of Metropole House, Orpheus Building and Inter point (identified by the red line in the plan).
- The footprint of York House and Playboard (identified by the green line in the plan).
- The footprint of Block 82 (identified by the blue line in the plan).
