Graduation is an important occasion - it is the culmination of all your hard work during your time at the University of Ulster. It marks the point at which you leave us to make your way in the world. Graduation is a proud day for you, your family and your friends. It is a chance to celebrate all that you have achieved throughout your university career and to look back at the years you have spent with us and above all we're keen to make your day a special one.

We'd like to congratulate everyone who is graduating at this winter's ceremonies. We hope you enjoy your graduation day and that you have many happy memories of your time here.

Ceremony schedules

Dates and venues of our Winter Graduation ceremonies are:

For Coleraine and Magee graduands Ceremonies take place in the Diamond at the Coleraine campus on Tuesday 17 December 2013.
For Belfast and Jordanstown graduands Ceremonies take place in the Assembly Hall at Jordanstown on Wednesday and Thursday 18 and 19 December 2013.

Adverse weather

In the case of adverse weather conditions the graduation ceremonies will take place as planned and graduating students are asked to make every effort to attend the ceremony for which they have received tickets. We regret that it will not be possible for graduands to switch to a different ceremony at the same, or another, campus or to defer to the summer of 2014.

Please note for all ceremonies on the Coleraine and Jordanstown campuses, car parking will be free of charge.

The Alumni Relations office will help you develop a life-long relationship with the University and will help you keep in touch – with us and with each other. You are automatically enrolled as a member of the alumni association when you graduate and therefore you have immediate access to a whole range of tangible benefits including:

  • Access to University resources and information (including the Library and Sports facilities)
  • Opportunities to develop your career and prospects
  • Get some exposure – profile your career/business successes

Ulster Alumni Online also has details of how you can engage or re-engage with the University, forthcoming events; ways to volunteer and support the University as well as allowing you to manage your own details.

Ulster’s Alumni play an extremely valuable role in the University by providing support to current and former students by getting involved in activities such as mentoring, internships, branch networks, sponsorship and donations. All of this adds to the experiences students have during their time here.

Certificate Frames

Our full range of certificate and photograph frames is available on the day or by post. Metal frames are available as Gold, Pewter, Silver and Black and the Wood frames are Walnut and Walnut and Brass polished finish. The frames include the University’s name and crest gold foiled onto the mount and the prices are £29.95 up to £70.00.  Certificates can be framed while you wait immediately after each ceremony.
