Academic Office
  The Academic Office has advisory and developmental roles in relation to all aspects of academic policy, procedures and regulations.
Academic Planning Unit
  The Academic Planning Unit (APU) is an office within the Teaching and Learning portfolio. Its remit includes all aspects of curriculum development, production of the annual Academic Plan and development and implementation of the University's Access Agreement. It also supports the Academic Development and Enhancement Committee of Senate and the Academic Planning and Widening Access and Participation Sub-Committees

  Academic Services available for staff
Alumni
  All former students of the University are automatically members of the Alumni Association. 
Career Development Centre
  Career Development Centre supports teaching and learning by providing direct and consultancy services to enhance students' employability skills.
Catering Services
  The University's Catering Department offers the widest possible range of catering facilities available to students and staff.
Centre for Higher Education Practice
  A facilitating and enabling arm of Teaching and Learning providing leadership, support, opportunity and challenges in relation to pedagogy and practice.
Communication and External Affairs
  Communication and External Affairs, headed by Professor Alistair Adair encompases the work performed by the Department of Communication and Development, Student Marketing Division and the Coleraine Provost. Key responsibilities relate to Corporate Communications; Media Relations (Press Office); Cultural Development; Development Fundraising (including the University of Ulster Foundation); Alumni Relations; Student Marketing and Community Relations.
Conference Services
  For all corporate, academic or sporting events, a conference, training seminar or exhibition at the University.
Continuing Professional Development Unit
  The Continuing Professional Development Unit offers the provision of training and professional development (CPD courses) for individuals and companies as well as providing a broad range of general open courses and University accredited courses (CATs Courses) for adults.
Corporate Planning and Governance
  The department is responsible for the functions relating to general legal affairs, ceremonial duties, data protection, university secretariat duties, strategic and operational planning, student data and information, student related statutory returns, student loads, student related performance monitoring and risk management.
Cultural Development
  Cultural Development serves as a catalyst for the delivery of high quality arts and cultural experiences.
  Development Office
  Recognising the importance of sustainable development income to the institution’s survival and future progress.
Equality and Diversity Services
  Responsible for developing policy and practice on equality for both staff and students.
Finance Department
  Information on the Finance Department
Health & Safety
  The Health and Safety Services team are responsible for services such as maintenance of the accident reporting system, providing advice on occupational health and safety issues and for monitoring noise, dusts and fumes in the workplace.
Human Resources
  Human Resource Services, Administration, Employee Relations, Health and Safety.
Information Services
  Information Services is a major University administrative department with responsibilities covering library, academic and administrative computing, digital communications and audio-visual services.

  Information on Library Services
Office of Innovation
  The Office assists University staff in their engagement with the regional business, industry and community sectors and acts as a gateway for organisations and individuals seeking to access University expertise and resources. The Office promotes wealth creation in the region through research commercialisation and new business development.
Physical Resources
  To support the delivery of the University's Corporate and Academic aims through the efficient management, maintenance and development of a quality physical environment appropriate to the needs of the users.
Procurement Office
  Information on Procurement
Research Office
  The Research Office advises on and supports applications for grants and contracts. It administers the recruitment, admission, registration, progress and examination of research students.
Residential Services
  Information on the wide range of facilities and services available from Residential Services.
Student Marketing Division
  SMD’s focus relates directly to how the University of Ulster markets itself to prospective and existing students. The department exists to help faculties maximise their impact on their markets and to meet the demands of the Academic Plan and aims to help maximise income across the course portfolio while ensuring that the integrity of the University’s regional remit is maintained and enhanced. SMD is also responsible for the development of a pervasive Student Marketing culture within which the Academic Plan can be contextualised and informed.
Quality Assurance and Enhancement Department
  Information including: external review of subjects, internal subject monitoring, collaborative provision monitoring, internal audit, external continuation audit/institutional review, staff development, educational development and equal opportunity policy and practice.
Sport and Recreation
  Information on the extensive range of sporting facilities and services available at the University Sports Centres
Staff Development
  Staff Development is responsible for the provision of appropriate developmental opportunities supporting all staff in their various roles within the University of Ulster.
Student Services and Sport
  Student Services and Sport comprises Sports Development and Services within the Ulster Sports Academy, Student Support and has responsibility for liaison with the Students' Union.
Student Support
  Student Support helps students to achieve the maximum benefit from their University life.
