clinton returns

The Honourable Bill Clinton, former President of the USA returned to Magee. This was his first visit since 1995.

President Clinton held a private meeting with the Vice-Chancellor and Northern Ireland’s four main church leaders. He also met student representatives and academics from INCORE, the joint University of Ulster/United Nations initiative on conflict resolution, which has its headquarters at Magee.

Mr Clinton also met children from the Step-up scheme, the University’s initiative to bring children from disadvantaged backgrounds from both sides of the community into higher education.
