ISSUE OF ID CARDS FOR 2011/12 NEW STUDENTS All new students will be issued with an ID card at enrolment. When they first enrol at the University students are photographed to provide a digital image to be printed on their University ID card which is used for the purpose of identification and, if necessary, to prevent or detect fraud. To enable staff to get to know students the photograph may also be displayed on School notice boards or on Faculty intranets within the University and displayed in the student’s record within Faculty Self-Service where it can be viewed by members of University staff (intranets and Self-Service are password protected).
RETURNING STUDENTS Returning students requiring a new card should note that the arrangements for obtaining these will be as follows: Jordanstown – cards will be issued at the Late Enrolment sessions in the Assembly Hall from 26 -29 September between 4.00pm and 6.30pm and thereafter from the Registry Office during normal opening hours. Coleraine – cards will be issued at the Late Enrolment sessions from 2.00 pm – 4.00 pm in the Octagon from Monday 26 to Wednesday 28 September, and thereafter from the Registry Office during normal opening hours. Magee – Cards will be issued between 10.00 am and 12 noon from Tuesday 27 to Thursday 29 September and thereafter from the Registry and Examinations office during normal opening hours. Belfast – Cards will be issued from Monday 26 September at the Students Services Centre during normal opening hours. Note : All returning students must have re-enrolled before a new ID card can be issued.
