Publication of Examination Boards Decisions Decisions of examination boards will be released to students in the Portal only . Normally progression from Semester 1 to Semester 2 is automatic. However, examination boards will make decisions in the case of: a) students who have extenuating circumstances and are permitted to a ‘first sit’ later in the academic year; b) students who have completed their programme at the end of Semester 1; and c) students repeating work from the previous year who have failed at the final attempt and are required to withdraw from the programme. Progress decisions for Semester 1 assessment will be published in the Portal within 48 hours of the decision of the examination board being lodged in the Examinations Office. Students are advised to check the Portal on a regular basis from the last week in January to check if a decision has been made on their academic progress. For other assessment periods decisions will normally be published within two working days of each Board of Examiners. A schedule for the publication of Board of Examiner decisions for the remaining assessment periods will be posted at the appropriate campus link below during the first week of each examination period. Students have been advised to contact their Course/Subject Director if a decision is not published by the set date.
