COMMITTEES
The Academic Office contributes to the formulation and development of the University's academic policy through its support of the Teaching and Learning Committee of Senate and the Course Approval Sub-Committee. There is a Sub-Committee on Work-Based Learning supported by the Career Development Centre and an Emerging Technologies Sub-Committee supported by Access and Distributed Learning.
The Teaching and Learning Committee and its sub-committees are required to follow a number of Standing Orders and Notes of Administrative Practice adopted by Senate. These are set out in this document which also incorporates other Standing Orders which the Teaching and Learning Committee has adopted.
